  With family here from out of town, we wanted to try out a new ice cream shop.  After checking out spots on Yelp, we came across Bengees.  Cup, cone, gluten free cone or a cronut....several vessel options for your ice cream.  For the ice cream there are both dairy and vegan options.  We tried samples of both and found each flavor to be good.  Now, the ice cream is good, not great in our opinions, but good and worthy of a return trip for sure.
  
  What solidifies this review as five stars is the service.  The young lady helping us today around 5:00 PM was excellent.  She was well spoken, polite, professional and patient.  Questions were answered well, and she asked appropriate questions of her own.  For example, when each person in our group said what flavors they would like, she would confirm that dairy was okay if a non-vegan flavor was ordered.  For those who ordered two flavors, she asked which flavor was preferred for the bottom scoop (most places won't ask, they just do what they want).  She also washed the scoop before getting the ice cream for the person in our group who can't eat gluten.  Simply, she was in the ball!  We all agreed that she was one of the best customer service employees we had met in a long time.

  I'm a big ice cream aficionado. Ice cream, in fact, is my religion and has a special place in my personal food pyramid. I had heard great reviews about this place but came to be a bit disappointed with the service (the one serving my ice cream, not the one who helped me check out) and the quality of the ice cream. I came in after my workout class and was craving a nice scoop of ice cream but came out with a bland flavor that seemed to me that the barrel had been sitting out in the freezer for too long.
  
  One thing that is nice about this place is the good amount of unique vegan flavors for those who are interested.  I went ahead with the regular white chocolate chip flavor and wouldn't think about ordering that again.

  It's been years since I've been here so I was excited to come back yesterday to get some vegan strawberry ice cream. Unfortunately I think they changed their recipe because it wasn't as delicious as it used to be. It used to have a strong strawberry taste that was very refreshing & now it tastes very nutty with a slight strawberry flavor.
  
  The girls at the store were very friendly though so I'd give their service 5 stars.

  It's hard to find tasty vegan ice cream but Bengees had a variety of flavors. A bit overpriced for the tiny scoop you're getting but treat yourself.
  
  The vegan thai tea was subtle yet tasty and the matcha wasn't too sweet yet flavorful! You can do 2 half scoops if you want a small portion of multiple flavors. They recommended the tiramisu vegan ice cream but it tasted like a mix of refined sugar syrups.
  
  Staff was very friendly and made my experience more exciting

  After eating nearby, I stopped by Bengees for some after dinner dessert. The storefront is quite small, but the worker who helped me was really nice and patient when I asked for multiple samples.
  
  I knew I didn't like vegan ice cream, so I ended up getting half scoops of the regular chocolate covered strawberry and nutella. Both flavors tasted excellent - Smooth, rich, and not overwhelmingly sweet. However, like most Yelpers pointed out, the ice cream did melt fairly quickly. I had to eat it at a faster pace than usual.
  
  Overall, I was glad I got to try Bengees Ice Cream. I want to check out the churro and toasted almond flavors next time!
